The sport of motorcycle trials riding is simply not possible without the generosity of those who own or tenant the land which Lancs County MCC makes use of.
The area in which the club holds its events is not by its nature particularly challenging, and those few areas that would be suitable for trials use are simply not available to the club as they are generally large private estates, or have restrictions upon them like SSSIs (Sites of Special Scientific Interest).
So the club is really appreciative of the landowners and tenants who do welcome us for trials, and needless to say the club is always on the lookout for more land – so if you know of any suitable land in the north west area of Lancashire, or perhaps even own some, then do please get in touch.
We currently use land at Arkholme, Brookhouse (3 areas), Cockerham, Low Gill near Bentham (3 areas), Roeburndale (2 areas) and Whitewell near Dunsop Bridge as well as Sykes Farm near Dunsop Bridge. The most recent acquisition is Wilson Wood Farm at Ingleton, so the club does have a reasonable variety of land available, but could always make use of some more.
Ride all the club’s trials through the year and you’ll visit all the land that we use.
