News : Andy Hacks It

20 August 2020

It's great to be back running trials again with the RESULTS HERE from the Wednesday evening trial on August 19 at Wrayton Hall Farm.

Only Andy Hackett went clean, a fine achievment at the very slippery venue which we were kindly able to use courtesy of Brian Ashton who has been a long time supporter of Lancs County.

The system of observing ourselves using individual observer cards generally worked well and there were no complaints voiced, though on a personal level I found it all a bit rushed, writing the scores then riding the sections, perhaps because we were fighting against rapidly approaching darkness which is why the trial was reduced to three laps. However, as stated at the briefing we do appreciate getting a full house entry of 50 riders in advance using the ACU on-line system. It worked well. So thanks to those involved in setting out and to Eric Kitchen for the pictures that will eventually appear.
