News : It's Low Gill Next NOW CANCELLED
25 January 2020
Unfortunately we have made the decision to cancel Sunday's (Feb 23) trial due to the recent wet weather. We made a site inspection on Friday afternoon and there is no way we could safely run. It's a fact of life these days when the weather is so unpredictable. The lead picture is of the beck we normally ride up and though it may not look too bad, in actual fact the water is over 2 feet deep.
Lancs County return to the piece of land owned by the Crackles family known as Ivah Allotments, Low Gill, LA2 8RB for our next trial which will be on Sunday, February 23.
And the good news is that the club are reducing the cost of entry fees for the whole year, which will bring us into line with the lowest rate any club charges in the North West. Just £15 will get you an entry into any one of our trials in 2020, which is pretty good value for a day's sport on your bike.
The format at Low Gill will be the same as it always is, that's four laps of 10 sections in the gullies and banksides with the start time being 10.30am. Parking will be at the roadside, which is OK at this time of year and entries are taken at the start.
The trial will have a hard course which is very sensible, a 50/50 course and of course the very rideable clubman route for the majority.
So make this a year to remember at Lancs County, the home of trials in the north west. The headline picture is one of Eric's from last year at Low Gill of Leana Titley.
