News : Low Gill Kicks Off 2019 - Pics Now In Gallery
01 January 2019
THE RESULTS from the New Year's Day Charity Trial are now available from which all surplus monies will be donated to the North West Air Ambulance fund which has now benefited to the tune of several thousands of pounds thanks to riders who have attended our January 1 series openers.
On such a nice day it was a disappointing entry, but there was not a single word of complaint even though the trial turned out to be a touch on the easy side. Anyway thanks to those who rode and of course thanks to the landowner James Morphett, to those who picked up an observer's board and to Dave Oswald for setting out. The river was quite high when he marked the sections a few days earlier, so he was erring on the easy side rather than risk riders getting into trouble in deep water.
Eric Kitchen was in attendance once more and his pictures will appear in the gallery in a few days once he has fine tuned them. Eric has another birthday in a few days so many happy returns to him when he turns 86 years young.
Our next trial is on Sunday February 24 also at Low Gill but this time it will be at the regular February venue a half mile further down the road from today's event.
