Carl Batty was the only rider of the 60 competitors in the fourth round of the Birkett Motosport evening series held at Anna's Ghyll on August 5th, who managed to retain a clean sheet after riding  four laps of ten sections.

The trial was blessed with one of the brightest summer evenings so far, and the excellent turn-out was welcomed by the club. Thanks go to the regular team of Chris Kirkbride, Dave Oswald and Darren Metcalfe for marking out; to John Huddleston for the use of his land, to Dave for moving the stock and to the observers.

We are particularly pleased with the response to the Easy Course which is now attracting more riders than ever, and as a result, we are planning a Trials Try-out/Tuition day in early september, more of which will be posted in a separate article in a day or so.
