Just a reminder to you keen Wednesday night trials riders, the next Birkett Motosport round will be on Wednesday, August 4 at Wrayton Hall Farm, Wrayton, flagged from the Hornby to Kirkby Lonsdale road about a mile past Melling.

Start time will be 6pm with all classes catered for as usual, including a Beginners/Returnees dead easy route.

The next Sunday trial is on August 15 at Drunkenbridge, Roeburndale flagged from the Lancaster to Hornby road , start time 10.30am.

We're amazed that so many riders stayed out in the thunderstorm to complete the third round of the Birkett series on Wednesday, July 14. However, well done, especially to the observers who braved horrendous conditions.

Attached are the results, usual comments, thanks to Chris Kirkbride and Dave Oswald and Darren Metcalfe for setting out, thanks to the observers, and thanks to Dave Taylor and his farmer tenant "Goose" for the us of the land.

Attached are the results from today's trial.

Thanks go to Nick Shield and Graeme Clapham for their hard work in providing the trial, especially Graeme who gave up his ride half way round to observe/pick up; to Malcolm Woodhouse and his family for the use of their land and to Anna Rapley for taking the entries whilst Mike was away on holiday, though I returned in time to do these results!

It looked pretty slippery but a touch of rain following many weeks of dry weather will always cause such conditions.

The next trial is on Wednesday July 14 at The Windmills above Brookhouse, start time 6pm.

The next trial from Lancs County is on Sunday, July 4 at the popular Barkingate Farm venue in Roeburndale, which is flagged from the Lancaster to Hornby road at the junction to Wray.

Start time is 10.30am where Nick Shield and his team will have plotted another good trial at this venue which is now only available to us just once a year at this time. So make it a date as the land provides a cracking trial.

There will be a hard course, a Green course and a Clubman course whilst the entries will be taken by Anna Rapley rather than her dad who is away on his hols for this trial. However, Mike is back that evening so the results should be on this site on Sunday evening or at the latest Monday evening. Unfortunately there is no conducted course at this venue but of course A and B class lads can ride the main trial - and C class if they can get round.
